Eric A. “Tony” Traub is a consultant providing financial, development and operating services along with asset management services to clients throughout the United States. Clients consist of both private and public companies primarily in the hospitality industry. Property types include full service and select service hotels, as well as a wide variety of commercial and residential properties.

Mr. Traub served as Principal and Co-founder of Garfield Traub Development, a national development services firm with clients and projects throughout the United States. These projects included total development responsibility for major hotels, theaters, schools, municipal and state buildings. In addition, he consulted with and advised cities and local governments on many unique financing and redevelopment issues.

Prior to forming Garfield Traub Development he was President and Chief Executive Officer of American Nevada Company, a Nevada based company which was one of the largest developers for a wide range of product including residential, commercial and hospitality projects in the Las Vegas marketplace. Before then, he was President of the Resorts and Commercial Divisions of General Development, which was the largest real estate development company in Florida at that time. The projects developed by these companies under his leadership included over 100,000 acres of land, 200,000 residential units, several million square feet of commercial property which included high-end resorts and hotel properties. Before joining General Development, Tony was recruited by the Pritzker Family, which controlled Hyatt Hotels and later Perini Land and Development, where he was in charge of the western states. His accomplishments include the Resort at Squaw Creek in Lake Tahoe and Rincon Center in San Francisco, and other hospitality and commercial projects which consisted of several million square feet.

Mr. Traub has extensive experience as both an attorney (inactive) and CPA (inactive) and previously practiced law in California as well as accounting with both Kenneth Leventhal & Co., now part of Ernst & Young, and Lybrand Ross Bros & Montgomery, which is now part of PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Mr. Traub is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the School of business at the University of Michigan and the School of Law at UCLA where he received his Juris Doctorate. He has also served as a board member of several companies, and he has been an active speaker at several organizations throughout the United States.
